Geschichte des Bieres
Beer is as old as the settled humanity. When mankind settled in the fertile valleys and oasis' of the Nile River and in Mesopotamia und cultivated crop, the oldest clues of beer emerged - from the ancient Egyptians, the Babylonians, and Assyrians. Not nomadism with traveling livestock herds, hunting and fishing formed the, basis of one's livelihood, which was always threatened by the forces of nature and other nomade tribes, now lasting settlements had been errected.
 
 
People recognized that the seeds of certain grasses could be used to cook a nutritious mash or back bread. In the beginning this was the women's work. The Egyptian, who soaked beer bread in water in order to produce beer, shows that beer was a house drink for quick consume. This house drink, which was prepared by the women, was common with people of the ancient world up to the Celts and Teutons. Its intoxicating effect was attributed to divine inspirations, to the magic of mysterious wonders, and finally to Christian legends.
